Super User Certification

Empowering teams with the skills and expertise to drive system adoption and support peers effectively. This Super User Certification Program equips key employees with in-depth knowledge, troubleshooting skills, and best practices to enhance productivity and streamline workflows.

Background

The business is rolling out a new initiative that will alter current processes and policies for all employees. Training will need to be given to 9,000+ employees across 100+ locations within a short timeframe. This will require a scalable and sustainable support system.

The business would like to train 1,700 Super Users to account for the number of employees needing to be trained and the scheduling conflicts that may occur. They would like to fly these Super Users to HDQ for a 1-2 day training and then provide monthly townhall meeting to address needs.  

​

To address this, a Super User Certification Program is needed to establish role-specific experts at each location. These Super Users will serve as embedded resources, providing on-the-job support, reinforcing training concepts, and ensuring a smooth transition to new processes. By equipping select employees with advanced training, the organization can enhance knowledge retention, reduce downtime, and drive long-term success.

A traditional training approach alone may not be sufficient to ensure knowledge retention, consistency, and effective adoption across all sites.

To ensure successful training and adoption across 100+ locations for 9,000+ employees, a phased, blended learning approach will be implemented. This strategy ensures structured knowledge transfer, hands-on practice, and on-the-job support while maintaining scalability and effectiveness.

 

This approach ensures that all employees receive timely, hands-on support, reduces training bottlenecks, and enhances overall adoption and proficiency across the organization.

​Implementing a computer-based training (CBT) and virtual instructor-led training (vILT) approach significantly reduces costs while ensuring effective knowledge transfer. By eliminating the need for in-person training sessions, the business avoids substantial expenses related to:

  • Travel Costs – No airfare or transportation expenses for trainers and trainees.

  • Accommodations & Meals – Eliminates hotel stays, per diems, and meal reimbursements for traveling employees.

  • Facilities & Logistics – Avoids costs for bookings, printed materials, and equipment setup.

  • Lost Productivity – Employees remain at their job sites instead of traveling for training, minimizing operational disruptions.

By leveraging CBT for self-paced learning and vILT for interactive discussions and Q&A, the company maintains high training quality while saving over $325,000 in direct and indirect expenses.

 

Additionally, this approach enables scalability, faster deployment, and consistent training delivery across all 100+ locations, maximizing both efficiency and cost savings.
